Teaching beginner English students is one of the most rewarding levels to teach. It’s also the most difficult if you don’t speak your students’ language. Beginners might be my favorite level because it really tests the skills of the teacher. Unfortunately, most teacher-training courses (TEFL/CELTA), tend to ignore this level completely. Luckily, I’ve got some great methodology and tips for you.

The two most important fundamentals of teaching beginners are to know exactly what you want to teach and to spend a lot of time building up toward language fluency. Even someone with zero English ability can end a lesson with real-life communication. Watch the whole video for all of the beginner methodology you need to be successful in the classroom.

Robert Guzman is a full professor at the University of Puerto Rico, Aguadilla Campus. Guzman teaches undergraduate English courses in which he stresses the development of critical thinking skills and hands on language development skills. He’s also a freelance writer and political commentator on the WPRA 990 AM radio show Comunicando with host Toti Figueroa. So far Guzman has published, among other books The Devil’s Advocate Reader, Tropical Tales of Terror, Mitos y Conflictos en la Biblia and Heroes.

With this project we are taking chain drive to the next level and seeing how well it works with 4WD and large 32″ tires. I’ve had great success with the chain drive setup on the CBR1000 buggy so with this project I want to build it again but this time we are making it 4WD with big 32″ tires and its a two seater. we are using a T90 transmission as a transfer case to give us high/medium/low range and reverse.
